Starriser is a space- opera strategy MMO. It is also the result of our obsession for this kind of video games. Each time a new strategy title would come out waiting for new and surprising gameplay concepts, we came away disappointed. Because, despite some honorable exceptions, the mere reproduction of tired patterns and old narratives was we’d get all the time. That’s why we decided to make the game we always wanted to play. Not to tell ourselves we’d revolutionized the genre, nor to reproduce our favorite games. But to put together the perfect game, set in the richest, most expansive universe we could imagine. This universe ensures Starriser’s chances to grow well beyond the game itself. It guarantees that, for everyone playing MMOs out there as well as for ourselves, Starriser can be so much more than a video game. It can be a way of life.
