Cow Code Games aims to re-create the amazing games Star Trek Voyager - Elite Force and Star Trek - Elite Force II in one complete game! Using a modern engine and HD content, the game will provide the classic gameplay elements but with a new look and feel. New features will also be included.
Hi Trekkies,
As I said in the last update, work on Elite Force Reloaded is slow, however we have made progress with the theme music. Tactical Tiger has created an amazing remix of the theme from Elite Force 1 and 2, and it's at the stage where we need your input as well. Check it out here Indiedb.com and let us know in the comments what you think and if you think it should be modified in any way. Also, I did some more work on Voyager's corridors and started Enterprise E's as well, so hopefully I will have a screenshot ready for the next update. I know it was disappointing to see the gravity gun from Half Life in the last screenshot, but that's because we currently don't have anyone on the team that can make models. If you know how and are interested in helping us or know someone that might, then please let us know so we can speed up the development. Remember our team is very small and any help is welcome. You won't be part of Cow Code Games overall just the Elite Force Reloaded team. If you are interested please contact CBMI6.
Thank you for checking out our project and live long and prosper!

This looks like a great project. Out of curiosity, have you made any meaningful progress since the last post?
I'm afraid not, I have been working on other projects and am unsure when I'll get back to working on EFR, or if I'll get back to working it. Also CBS have been quite hard on fan projects recently so that's partly why I haven't worked on it.
How's work going on this and why not use an engine closer to Quake 3 like the Goldsrc engine?
I haven't really done much to EFR apart from creating new Lcars textures, but as I am new to Source development, I have decided to mainly focus on developing Portal Origins first as there isn't as much to do so it should be quicker and make life easier when I come back to EFR. I don't want to use Goldsource as it's way too old and I know Source isn't new either, but there is still support and more development help out there for it. Thanks for your interest in the project! :)
Hope this will happen including some of the old TOS mods
As it is such a large project and our team is so small, mods are not a priority and probably wont be made for a few years. However, when Badgersdontvote and I decided to go ahead with the project, we thought about making expansion packs for the different series such as TNG, DS9 and quite possibly TOS since there is are some levels already made, so that might be a quick job compared to the rest of it. I wasn't going to mention this as its a big spoiler and encase we never got that far into the project, but who knows. If you want to know anymore about the expansion pack plans, feel free to ask. :)
It's an ambitious project so focus on the main game before thinking about additions
this needs happen!
Yes lol it will be great if we can make it. :)
Sounds like an ambitious project, combine both games of it. :) Good Luck on that.
Thanks :)
