Asteroid Arts are looking for extremely talented Environmental Artists to work on our upcoming ambitious Western Action/Adventure entirely within Unreal Engine 4!

You will be responsible for crafting the lush world of the Wild West where players will be able to roam freely when not on a mission. You will use the tools within UE4 to help craft a living and believable environment for the player to explore amongst others.

Strong modeling and texturing skills are not enough. Candidates must be able to create immersive, living, and fully-realized environments.

As an Environment Artist, you will be responsible for creating exciting and believable artwork, and creating and texturing environment assets for both linear missions and the vast open world.

We will use UE4 to its full potential to get the most fluid and prettiest game possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

>Model, texture and create collision in 3D for game environments.
>Work closely with Programmers and other departments to ensure art assets are fully optimized while minimizing any impact on artistic integrity of assets.
>Participate in R&D of new techniques to implement into production pipeline.
>Proactively seek feedback from Lead Artist, other Artists, and Creative Director.
>Ensure that artistic style is consistent with defined visual style for the game.

REQUIRED:

>Expertise in 3ds Max, Maya, Photoshop, or other technologies utilized in the production of game art.
>Experience in UE4.
>Possess a good knowledge of cutting edge shader techniques.
>Superior 3D art skills.
>Eagerness to learn new software tools and technologies.
>Ability to work in a team setting, under deadlines and time constraints.
>Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and motivation.
>Strong communication and time management skills.
>Able to prioritize and multi-task.
>Creative nature with strong problem-solving skills.
>Work well in a team.
>Be a team player.

DESIREABLE:

>Gaming enthusiast.
>Western enthusiast.
>Extremely familiar with the UE4 workflow and menus.
>Professional experience in the game industry (NOT REQUIRED).
>Strong technical background with the ability to grasp new programs and systems quickly would be an advantage.
>Preferably worked on at least one released title.
