Space Mercenary Windows, Mac, Linux game

SPACE MERCENARY is a side-scrolling platform shooter where you play as a mercenary for hire, selecting missions from clients from across the known galaxy. As you complete missions you can buy better weapons and gear. With a few credits and some training you can even learn new skills such as medical aptitude and combat abilities, hacking computers and consoles and even bartering for higher returns on selling of any merchandise on the black market you collected while on-mission. There will be various factions of which you'll either make as enemies or allies. Stories will unfold, enemies will come after you and those you make friends with will offer you new job opportunities.

STORY & GAMEPLAY

The game's story is all about the choices you make in your career as a soldier for hire. You can choose who to take contracts from and what kinds of missions you want to do. You may double-cross one alien faction or side with another depending on what is asked of you. There will be both rewards and consequences for both. Most importantly, what you do early on in the game changes things that will or won't happen in later areas of the game.

Double cross a testy Human merchant, he puts a small bounty on your head. Rescue an Arloo scientist, his allies you meet later offers to hand you an awesome new piece of tech to help you out. It's not just good or bad karma, it's also just good or shrewd business. Just be sure to pick and choose your friends and enemies wisely.

Of course it's not all business contracts and politics. Oh now lets not forget this is an action-based adventure game too! There will be a lot of heavy combat, stealth missions, high-speed vehicle chases and who doesn't love a good boss-fight here and there. Last, but not least my ultimate intention is to create a game world where you can escape and explore as a mercenary for hire. There will be a single core story arc upon release, however I my intention is to create a game that you can continue to play beyond the main story. The more safe haven locations and encounters I am able to create will help add to this greatly. Thanks to this new digital age I am also able to frequently add new content in the form of new missions to go on, skills to acquire, and equipment & merchandise for purchase. These will expand into exciting new story arcs and allow you to get into even more trouble as new events unfold in the known galaxy.
