An interesting retro-tower defense offer, for next games in the series it might be cool to add some kind of level creation kit.

Half Legend of Zelda, half Tower Defense, all fun!

Liked the first game, so was looking forward to the next game in the series. However, I never could get this one to work. You might have the same problem with Win 8 64-bit and ATi 5770.

Lovely music and a clever tactical game that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Thoughtfully made game with great aesthetics reminiscent of great old games and a novel mechanic that's fun to play and easy to grasp right away. Doesn't waste your time with lore or mess with procedurally generated stuff to give the appearance of value or depth. Just a solid hand-designed game with a well-tuned gameplay arc that gets out of your way and lets you play it and is enjoyable the whole time.

Fun game at the beginning, but gets way too hard and frustrating after some levels.

A plus for the major improvement of graphics, but there wasn't enough difference in this game from the first to warrant a higher rating, and the novelty didn't play all the way through the second one to warrant me completeing it in one sitting. More Soulcaster with better graphics. I all honestl I'd give it around an 85/100. Great game!

Like its predecessor the game has a unique blend of tower defense and adventure RPG.
The game is very fun and challenging on harder difficulties.
Easily worth the cost.

Even better than the first but a little less than I would have hoped in a sequel. I would described this as Soulcaster "1.5".

There a no new controlable units, and gameplay is virtually identical. That being said, it's still just as much fun as the original. There is more of a story (although I don't think I understand the story on the last level). And little touches like the icons for the upgrades are nice.
