Slizer is a stealth action game available for free, made by slizer88 in the Game Maker 8.1 Unlicensed Engine. Due to compatability issues, the game will only be ported to Game Maker Studio Pro on release, indefinitely postponed.

"Slizer is a stealth/action shooter with a heavy emphasis on story. There are currently three working levels, two of which are close to complete. The engine I made for this is almost complete, it just needs testing and improvements but most of the elements that are planned for are currently in the game. The game is mainly inspired by StarCraft and Gundam Wing/Gundam 00, with obvious inspiration (stealing) from Deus Ex, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dishonored, Thief, StarCraft: Ghost, StarCraft 2, Armored Core 4, and probably other stuff as well.
This game is being build in the GameMaker 8.1 Unregistered engine. I already own GameMaker Studio:Professional and will port the game to that when it is complete, however until then I want to show what I can do with a limited engine.

When I find a way to upload the current version (GameMaker Games isn't working right now) I will release the game for testing. Until then, the video on youtube features the stealth elements of the first level.

Elements that are not shown in the video (All of these work as intended, with only minor bugs, mostly graphical):
10 weapons:
Dual Automatic rifle/Single shot rifle
Rocket Launcher
Aimed Missile Launcher
Burst Laser
Laser Rifle
Variable Power Laser
Pulse Laser
Zero Laser (Secret Weapon)
Laser Sword (select from weapons menu to control it,m or press Z for a quick slash)

6 Items:
4 types of mines: Explosive, Smoke, Sleeping gas, EMP
Keycards
Box (MGS reference with a twist)

6 Abbilities:
Cloak, Plasma Shield, Radio Jammer, EMP Burst, ECM Jammer, Paladin Shield (Inspired by StarCraft and Gundam Wing) These will be acquired by stealing the technology from bosses and researching it.
3 Abbilities built into armor: Cloak, Maximum Speed, Maximum Shield. (Inspired by Crysis)

3 Grenades:
Smoke, Sleeping gas, EMP

Shop: Currently only helmets are available for purchase, but work as intended with only graphical issues.
Abbility to sneak, run, or change speed to 10% up to 100% of max speed in intervals of 10%.
Abbility to choke guards and move their bodies

Enemy AI allows them to hear you run, fire weapons, explosions, see you within their line of sight and field of view, and react when hit. Enemies also sound the alarm when they find you or a body, unless the radio jammer is close enough to them.

Oh yeah, and four pilotable Mechsuits. Technically one of them controls terribly and the other doesn't work.

There are currently 4 environments: Forest, Arid, Ocean, Space.

Plans to add:
Will work on Snow and Tropical environments.
Pilotable vehicles and aircraft/spacecraft. And mechs.
Psionic abbilties and experience bar with skilltrees?
Possibly add verticality, to add a jetpack and levitation.
Sound and Music.
Also I might remove the blatantly stolen StarCraft images. Maybe.

In a sequel, I would like to add dynamic lighting and the abbility to turn lights off/shoot the lights (Inspired by Splinter Cell).

This game is planned to be free, I'm hoping Steam will allow me to put a game on that has no revenue. I'm also hoping that this will serve to proove that I'm capable of making a game to justify a kickstarter for other games.

I know I haven't provided much in the video, but I would like honest and constructive criticism. I started this game in 2006, and I did most of the work over the past year, since May 2013. Thank you all a lot!
