Following mobile title Slimebow, Pandara's Box are in development of a platformer starring the same hero of that title. McGloopin will find itself travelling through time and across the globe, inheriting the abilities of the various people and creatures he meets, from loveable Velociraptors of Prehistory, to the magnificent Mages of Medieval times, the steampunk politicians of the late 19th century through to the vicious bunny rabbits of the modern day. Expect more information to follow in the coming weeks.
The weekend was a great success with the team enjoying great feedback on both Slimebow & the demo build of Slime vs the World (which should be going up online for everyone else not able to try it out soon!)
Over the convention we featured a Slimebow high score competition to test the interest for our planned content update for our mobile title. The update which should hit at some point this summer will include modes to better suit colour-blind gamers, an online high-score system & a versus race mode among potential other new features.
Other than that we had a hands off demo of follow-up mobile title Slimebow: Weapon Master, an attempt to meld the gameplay of PvZ and arcadey side-on 2D shooters as well as the demo of SVtW.
Slime Vs the World is progressing well with a rework of the project by one of our new team members allowing much greater flexibility within the engine. Feedback was generally great from convention attendees though we did discover that the steep difficulty curve found in the opening platforming sequences proved too frustrating for many so that will likely be tweaked before the demo is released online. The opening's resident Rex companion proved popular too, as we'd hoped :) Look forward to more and the demo's release soon :)
Progress on our first major project is going well. The core build is in place and we're currently refining the design of the opening Prehistoric sequence...
During March 2014 Slimebow was released across Windows Phone 8, iOS and Android platforms, the first title by Pandara's Box, we hope anyone who gives...
