Wow, so its been a while since our last update but worry not as we have been working especially hard for a special Duncan themed update for you guys!
Whats Changed Since Last Time?
Since last time we've had some new talent join us and I'd like to take this moment to welcome Aaron Burns, Catalin Cristian and Eric Harmon to the team but we've also had to say goodbye to Jason who as you must know was the Lead Programmer for us for quite a while and we wish him the best of luck.
In other news our entire team is getting even more of our rhythm back, yes I'm aware that I say that a lot but Indie development does come with its shares of fast and slow times but I'm proud to say that we're currently working like a well oiled machine!
The animations for the Ravager Daemon are slowly being completed, currently the run and attack animations have been completed and we're working on more top secret stuff that we're definitely sure will knock your socks off!
Thanks to Marcus Duncan himself is nearly complete as well, right now he's trying to get the hair to look perfect but I'll be attaching the WIP renders below. Our programmers are also busy trying to get Alpha 3 ready, yes you did read that right Alpha 3 is on the way and with it comes a new camera, menu screen, save and loading feature and Daemons that will try to rip your guts out. Also a main portion of the next survival arena is currently under construction so look forward to it!
I guess Ian's got his work cut out for him when he gets back!

Who Is Duncan? What Role Does He Play?
Duncan is one of the three playable heroes within Siege of Inaolia, he has a skill set that revolves around mainly being up close and personal with the enemy, currently we're focusing on the Offensive Mastery of Duncan which is more focused on getting into the fray, dealing a load of pain and then getting out just as quickly.
He's the average no-nonsense, honor bound knight with an exceptional hatred of orcs and you'll see this behavior prominently though-out the story mode and you will also see how the entire team eventually effect each other and bond through their struggle.
Duncan does have 2 other Mastery sets, each being unique in its own way the Defensive Mastery Duncan focuses more on taking a lot of damage and keeping himself in battle but sacrifices mobility and power however for those wanting a sort of mid ground we've got Support Mastery Duncan who is able to get into combat fast and stay there for a while as well as altering his weapons with different effects(flaming blade anyone?) but they'll not be out for a while. I hope you guys have enjoyed this little insight into Duncan!
You Said Something About Alpha 3?
Yes! So we've decided to scale back on our goals for Alpha 3, we're going to be postponing the new survival arena for a while while our programmers work on refining and updating our systems, in Alpha 3 we will be including the Ravager Daemons in place of the placeholder Orcs as well as improving the camera and adding a save and load system in addition to a new health system as well as a revamped menu screen.
Whats Coming On The Horizon?
We've got some new Audio and Video previews coming for you guys soon, no final date is set but soon!

thanks for the update... I love the direction SOI is going in...
I'm also looking forward to seeing your completed animations?
I like the sound of new camera settings too. It would be nice to have control over the camera like in Assasins Creed.
We're working on getting an animation preview for you guys ASAP also the camera has been tweaked to allow for a better view of the battle field think more like Warhammer 40K Space Marine and such but you'll hardly have time to stop and stare when the ravagers will be coming at you.
