Phil Ings, the programmer for Shades of Violet: Song of the clockwork princess; shows us how it's done in this brief unity walkthrough of some of the game's features and locales.
Shades of Violet is a fairly "simple" game in its approach to visual design. It features an rpg-Inspired aesthethic in which there are no realtime lighting and shadow effects to burden the processor or visual card chip. This allows us to focus on an cartoon illustration-like style that keeps true between the several platforms the game is being developed to. You won't lose much to the ipad and android versions of the game, compared to the PC and mac releases.
On top of that, SOV is build for expansion as it is ready to be adapted to the mayor consoles (as a downloadable title) and can reach out to newer languages.
