A procedural seafaring sandbox adventure game. Fight ships, go fishing, search for sunken treasure, do what you want.
Happy Halloween! Here's some work on melee fighting I've been doing. I also forgot to turn off debug view so you can see what that looks like. The green stuff around the player/enemy/swords are their collision hitboxes. The things on the boats are for buoyancy stuff.
AWESOME! I love the fighters, will there be some sort of character customization? I love that in a game :P
I hadn't really thought about it, but it's possible.
You should add player and **** customization

You should make the fighting like nidhogg that is a great style for side scrolling swordin.
I thought about that, but 16x16 pixels doesn't give much room for telling the height of an enemy's attack. It would be like a 2 pixel difference while the boat would be rocking by that much anyway. Next update you'll see where I went with the melee, I think it came out in a nice middle ground.
So far this looks awesome!
Also, do you plan on keeping the screen size so low, or would you make options for people to choose from?
I'll probably keep the resolution at 320x192 but allow for scaling. So if you choose a large resolution things will just scale up.
