I wonder what happens if you hit it with a laser... well, if it were inside a pressurized, earth-atmos room.
I believe the wood may burn, in the presence of oxygen. I know a fire effect will ultimately be added. Not sure how it will be effected on the outside of the hull, where the bark isn't surrounded by oxygen. It may just break up violently.
