ScrumbleShip is the most accurate space combat simulation devised to date. Gather resources, construct a capital ship out of individual blocks, then pilot it with AI or human help against other players.

Multiple ships on the screen, moving relative to one another.
The big one is Insolent's S.S. Queen Mary Ann. The dark one on the left is Insolent's Shattering Ram. The ship sort-of being rammed is Allot's Praepotens.
Star background currently disabled for a test.

Amazing! It sounds like movement work is progressing well. :D
Hooray! This is great news!
The hard bit will be implementing full rotation to ships otherwise placed within a grid. At least, I think that's how it works. :D
In the engine currently, rotating is tricky - We'll have skewing before we'll have rotating.
However, each ship /contains its own grid/, so once I fix the backend, rotating each ship individually will be easy as pie!

So how did you import all of them? Or did you rebuild... Hmm
I hooked up the "load ship" dialog to import each ship as a new object. Long term, this is a bad approach, but it allows me to pretty easily import ships for now.

Now that is cool to see! I've waited a long time to see such a glorious sight - it was worth it. We'll be flying and battling each other's ships in no time. :D This also really helps with a sense of scale. Very cool.
I was shocked at how small the Praepotens was compared to the Mary Ann. She'd fit inside with room to spare!
Well I could've told you that - nothing like building a ship over the course of weeks to give you a very good idea of how big it is. ;) But I know what you mean.
Seeing multiple ships together like this has also driven home how cool it will be to see so many unique ships occupying the same volume of space - they're each as different as the people who built them. Almost no other space sim can say that! And none with the loving detail of ScrumbleShip. Seriously can't wait to fly ships with others. :D
Oh my goodness that looks amazing. Is it just me or is the front of the Ram nudged inside of Praepotens?
Mary Anne is indeed a giant ship. I wonder how would the Elysium compare to her, it's a lot longer but much less wide and tall. It probably wouldn't fit here anyway. A small fighter like the Xyphos could do wonder to the sense of scale too, Praepotens look tiny in this screen..
Yeah, the ram is a bit embedded into the Praepotens - doing what it was made to do! :D It'll be more impressive when there's ship collission detection and structural physics.
Yeah, there's no way the Elysium would fit in the Queen Mary Ann - too long, and maybe too tall for the front of the QMA as well. Those two will make an impressive sight when multiplayer is implemented! They'd also probably make a good team, capability-wise: the QMA is planned to be a heavily armed warship, and the Elysium will be a high-volume corvette carrier. The QMA provides the direct ship-to-ship firepower, and the Elysium scrambles the ordinance bearing attack fleet. I wouldn't want to mess with either, and certainly not the two of them together!
Wow, I'm impressed. And excited. Can't wait to start flyin and mine'n. Also, I'm beginning to suspect that Dirkson doesn't like any of my ships...
All your ships are uploaded to the website with the "Non-Commercial" CC license. Since ScrumbleShip is my day job, basically anything I do with it is 'Commercial'.
I love 'em, but I can't use 'em!

Whoa, that's my bad. I want to help support scrumble however I can. Updated them all. Have at em!
Thank you!
