Scoregasm is an incredible, variety rich shooter with a non-linear, branching paths style galaxy to explore. It's pretty, accessible, fun and really rather good! Blast your way through the galaxy's many varied levels! Use your skills to change your route, find new levels, new enemies, unlock bonus challenge stages and fight the bosses to discover multiple endings! Linux users: Scoregasm is a 32bit app, so you'll need the appropriate 32bit libraries installed to run the game on a 64bit system. IndieGames.com says: "Scoregasmic! One of the best space shooters of 2011 by a good light year or two."

Four great games, one crazy low price, all available on Steam, Desura and direct download. Indie Royale is a new indie games deal site inspired by the awesome HiB (run by us! in partnership with indiegames.com). In this bundle we have Fate of the World, a tough and extremely addictive strategy game from Red Redemption that asks you to save the entire world from crisis. We have NightSky, a fantastic arcade puzzler from Nicalis and a past IGF Seamus McNally Grand Prize finalist.

Next up is Scoregasm from Charlie's Games, a brilliant space shooter that will get you a little hot under the collar with its hordes of bullets, enemies and explosions. Finally, we have the Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please! adventure game combo, both from Size Five Games. That's right - this bundle has 5 games in it, rather than 4!

That's over $40 worth of games we've got for you right there, and we recently added all DLC for Fate of the World and two bonus games from Charlie. To grab it, Indie Royale is the place to do so.

Running on Live External USB HDD (2TB) on Ubuntu 16.04.1 64-bit, on a Retina 15" mid-2012 MacBook Pro (16GB RAM) with NVIDIA 367 proprietary drivers installed

Plays really well, but would prefer native 64bit version :-)

It's a pretty interesting game, for sure. So far the only issues I have are: 1. The UI is keyboard only control, but the mouse is used for game play. It feels unnatural and very clunky to have to switch to the keys for menu control. Seriously, this is the 21st century, you have to make menu items mouse-selectable. 2. The sounds are unnecessarily softened & affected, so much so that they blend together. Some of them at least should be higher fidelity.

Other than that it's a pretty cool game, with a nice fire-works effect on the 'ole brain. When I was younger I would have enjoyed this more. It reminds me of a game I played on the Commodore 64 back in the old days called Gyrus.

Cheers!

I have to ask: When you restart, are your lives not supposed to join you at the beginning of the level? Because I can't really think of another reason why anybody would restart. Maybe that's why the confirmation screen defaults to "no"...

Besides some UI gripes that's my biggest issue with the game (once I got it running).

I found this to be quite addictive. Definately fun for a little quick 20 minute blasting session. If you like "old school" arcade shooters, its well worth it. I probably wouldn't find it as fun if I didn't have a gamepad so bear that in mind.

This game is super mega awesome ; oldschool pushed to its limits, extremely varied, psychedelic, well balanced etc etc.

Had to "manually" install 32 bits libs under Ubuntu 11.10 64 bits BTW.

Actually, I don't remember which ones exactly because, the game didn't work before I installed another app (WINE maybe ?) which itself downloaded some 32 bits libraries.

I just install WINE on Mint 64bit to see if that would install the 32bit libs to play this game. Before installing WINE, it wouldn't run, complaining about the lack of 32libs. After installing WINE, started playing. (and crashes after the woman says "Yes")
