It's just basically one of the best indie games I've ever played!

I was glad this didn't take too long to complete - what I played was fun, pretty, and didn't outstay its welcome.

Pretty cool..I enjoyed it

I absolutely enjoyed this game. The story is rich enough to keep me interested and the poker game mechanics were a real treat to experience. Pick this game up! :D

Engaging mechanics, very funny and challenging at the same time.
The story and setting is also nice and even original in some aspects. Highly recommended!

I really like the idea of combinating poker solitaire and fantasy fights. Graphic is also awesome and those RPG elements. 10/10

+Interesting gameplay (same combos as Poker, played more like Solitaire but where you can steal cards from opponent)
+Nice music (though gets repetitive by end of campaign)
+Easy to learn rules, quick but adequate tutorial
+Great interface
-Mainly good for one playthrough (approx 10 hours depending on skill)
-First Turn Advantage factor is significant
-Role-playing/Story is secondary to the card gameplay. (all conversations can be skipped safely)

Runespell is an interesting concept and for the most part is executed incredibly well. The overall gameplay is addivtive but the game overall is a little dented by some strange choices.

Why not replace the cards with spells or abilities, the money system in the game feels odd and out of place and isn't explained very well. It would be better to get rid of it entirely to save grinding needlessly which if you were to lose would be a quit game moment.

I look forward to more from this developer in the future and if they revisit Runespell, 2 words; Co-op Mode.
