Independent Game Festival 2008 Showcase winner: Rückblende (Flashback) is an interactive story about a man returning to a summerhouse, where he spend his holidays as a child. The player triggers flashbacks through finding objects and as more memories get uncovered, a secret seems to be unravelling. The surrounding and the inside of the house were built as a model, while the appearing characters from the memories were drawn with a pencil and animated with white lines on top of the photographed model– background. There's also a mac version downloadable from my homepage.

Rückblende is gonna have a short appearance on german television soon. The very cool network 3sat is gonna show a documentary about the future of games (Sunday, 25.05. at 16:30) there's also a stream, if you missed it: Zdf.de

Granted it wasn't all that long but I rather enjoyed it. And I loved the style.
Its a really neat artistic style, Reminds me of the Neverhood. You should definitely keep working on this to make it longer and more interactive.
