Serial Key Thread - Rogue's Tale

I purchased my game on GamersGate and on trying to set up my own server and went to log in, it asks for a serial key.... I've never received one from GamersGate and none is listed when I looked at the game's information on my account. Where would I find a serial key if it is already in the system?

The in-game "Register Account" can be used to register the demo version as full version and it only works on Epixx.org server when I have given the account specific serial to someone. Since you have a full version already it is of no use to you.

You can still register an account on your own server if you want, but it does not make a demo version full version. If you want to know what serial to use to register an account on your own server, do the following steps:

1. Create an account on your own server (e.g. falcon).
2. Create a character with some name (e.g. Falcon-Grey).
3. Login with the admin account and type /whois Falcon-Grey
4. It will then print out something like Falcon-Grey = falcon [20130505T112736M001]
5. Type /serial falcon
6. It will then print something like falcon = A4F6GG3F [20130505T112736M001]
7. Login with the falcon account and register it with the serial A4F6GG3F

You will now have a registered account on your own server but that is pretty much all it is. If you want to learn more about running your own server, check the readme.txt that can be found in the directory you unpacked the server in.

The example takes one extra step with the /whois since you already know what your account name is but it is there for completeness sake.

Hey! Can i register my account on the epixx server so i can keep it? I read on another thread where you said that a unregistered account will be deleted after 30 days (of inactivity i assume) but still i want to save and use my account even if i sometime take a break from the game so i can keep my heritage.. Is that possible?
And another thing, whats the difference between the epixx and local or offline is it just the chat or am i missing something??

Full version accounts will not be deleted on the Epixx.org server as long as you have reached past level 10.

Epixx.org is online with chat and shared highscores, local is your own server if you want to tinker with one and offline is offline.

I saw on the game's website that the latest version is 1.05b, but I bought my copy from Gamersgate, and they are still at 1.04. Do you know when they'll have the latest version?

I have sent them the new version but I can't say anything about when it will become available.

A friend of mine just bought the game from GamersGate, but he didn't get a serial.
I checked my GamersGate profile and I don't see my serial there either.
Are you aware of any problems with their serials?

GamersGate and Desura versions do not have any serial numbers. When you download the game from them it is already a full version.

My friend had accidentally downloaded and installed the demo.

why the fuck does the gamers gate not update to 1.06 ???
