No one can ascertain the current Earth year (or if there is still Earth at all), so we start the count from Vostorg-7 year 0. This year marked the arrival of a joint Russian-Chinese colonization probe on Vostorg-7, a probe dispatched a very long time ago - in the early 21st century of Earth. After a long interstellar odyssey, it finally reached the unforgiving yet potentially habitable planet. The initial dreams of forging a unified spaceborne human nation were soon abandoned, as differing visions for utopian societies took root. Instead, seven independent human colonies emerged from the cosmic dust. While most of these colonies succumbed to rapid deterioration, with their inhabitants mutating into otherworldly beings or descending into feral lifestyles amidst Vostorg-7's unforgiving terrain, two colonies stood out as bastions of Man’s determination - the Derzhava and the Planet Cult.

Windows are so big, great target!

As a drone carrier, by the time you're a target, having large windows is the last of your problems...

(of course assuming that the rest of the vehicle is also lightly armored as this highly unlikely to be a front line combat unit i.e. MBT)

... and besides, the operators want to enjoy the view while they brought death and destruction from afar...

Doubt the protection it offers is as good against small arms and shrapnel, though. And that's a bad thing.
And if they can see anything from where they're sitting, they already ****** up.

Yeah, sometimes people forget about cooperation of ground and aerial forces.

I like the last one.

But how do the drones work? Are they released from inside the Carrier or do they function "separately" with the Carrier being the control center? If they are released from it, from where do they exit?

We're deciding on two variants: from the rear ramp or being teleported from another dimension using Half-Life-style alien teleporter

Teleported drones sounds good actually. I would prefer the ramp or an electromagnetic catapult though.

I would like to ask you to make it the top right one.
Here are the reasons:
I think drones should be released from the back ramp because otherwise it won't be a "carrier " anymore. And with teleport technology it's possible to rek the world up without fighting.(Remember the Chrono-Ivans from RA2? It was possible to fight the enemy without ANY damage)
The second reason is the thing that other carriers look more of APCs rather than a carrier vehicle.
The top right perfectly fits the role of a thing carrying something heavy, just don't make it size of a buggy. Make it big.

I'd go for the top right.

Agree, has a unique look. Rest look pretty standard, lower left looks like a APC

Yeah, top right looks boss. I can actually see it as a "not-so-futuristic" combat vehicle, it even has the smallest windows.

Its a mix between the Nato Star and a Swastika. Those Euronazis are going to be crushed under my rain of Steel and Fire once my Sokols take flight!

So excited for this game! Keep up the excellent work team.
