RoboMinion is a 2D puzzle game in a 3D world. The goal of the game is to get the little robot to his destination, the finish tile. There is one problem however, the little robot can only turn to his right, so you have to guide him by placing different types of objects on the map. The are many types of objects to interact with and over 50 maps. If that is not enough, you will be able to create your own maps using the built-in editor and share them with your friends.
For this update, we’ve got the following:
We’ve added 6 new maps and 1 new game object; the teleport. The teleport is very basic, there are a couple of them on the map and you can decide which ones are active. You can only have 2 active at the same time, so by switching them on and off you can teleport around the map and make it to the finish. Here is how it looks.
Here’s a list of changes:Alpha #3
And here's a quick video of the new teleport object.
So based on the reactions of the people who tried the game, we came up with a list of things to change. The big change is of course the maps. We have...
Unlike most professional games we started this one with only a vague idea of what the setting and the story would be. Trying to decide it before even...
Shortly after we had enough of the game done to actually start making maps for it, I had a problem. How does one come up with good puzzles? How do you...

I really like the smooth style of your grafix! Everything fits and is nice on its own... I will have a look at it as soon as i can spend some time on it ;)
I have just finished it :D And i am very satisfied with it. It was a relaxing time, the game is pretty easy to the end. I hope this will be sucesful and also try to get it to steam!
This looks like an interesting idea, will be interesting to see how the game develops
I'm waiting for the demo, but I think you need to be careful when you make "tutorial" stages. It's far better to just throw in a new element that is intuitive and have the player experiment than to explain every detail.
Case in point: Stage 1 gives you the hint that you guide your minion who turns only right to the destination, and yet all the first stage does is tell you what the hint already told you, and make you wait out the stage. This stage really shouldn't exist at all. Stage 2 should really just tell us "You can place obstacles by selecting it and clicking on the stage" (and even then I'd argue this is kind of silly). I enjoyed Chu Chu Rocket so this game seems like a great idea, but please please don't make the mistake of assuming the player is an idiot that so many other games now make. Teach by intuitive design, not intrusive text.
Other suggestions: Take out rewind (leave reset), start the stage paused, and give us the ability to play the stage at 1x, 2x, or 4x speed. If you look at Chu Chu Rocket you'll see what I mean (both by its not assuming the player is unintelligent and by the pausing at the start so we can actually think about the level and then play it out, to make it more of a puzzle game).

We have just released a new update and it did some of the stuff you talked about. We have removed the first map, and instead the second map is now the starting one. We have also got rid of several 'filler' maps that did nothing but explain things or just repeat the same type of map again.
Also the speed is a little higher now :) I will try and get a demo up soon.
Sounds great, I'll wait for the demo and offer more feedback when I can. Cheers on making those changes.
was a fan of roborally, +1 watcher
Just played the whole alpha and found it suprisingly difficult, but really really fun! I can't wait to play more of this and I'm looking forward to see where you go with it!
Thank you, so I see you find it challenging. After level 15 they get even more difficult! But fear not, we'll make sure there's hints to help you out if you're really stuck. But try not to use them :)
This is looking nice. :O
Thanks! Did you get a chance to play it?
