Finished this little guy over the week. Other stuff we've been working on: new tileset for the ice world stage, new enemy routines and a bunch of new sound effects.
No realtime Shadows? O.o
No, not in Blender's 3D viewport, where this screenshot has been taken. ;)
Apart from that, we're still looking for a feasible way to implement realtime shadows into our rendering pipeline. I'm not the tech guy, so I can only say: We'll see if there's a chance to make it happen.
So far it looks like we won't be able to use lights with realtime shadows for performance reasons. However, I'm still planning to implement at least realtime sun shadows because without them things can look really out of place.
