Rift Rush is a first-person platformer designed for use with the Oculus Rift, but it doesn't require one to play. Race through endless worlds, constructed Story levels, and crush your friends in the Mario-Kart styled Multirush! Rift Rush is currently available in an ongoing development state. Its Kickstarter was successfully 423% funded as of April 2013, and is using Desura for its monthly update process.

$30? You might want to rethink that.

Agreed - based on those photos and video $30 seems really high. Maybe offer a demo if you are convinced it's worth $30?

Please see my reply to keruD! (And yes! As development gets further along, we'll absolutely release a demo version.)

Thank you for the comment!

Hello! You're absolutely right. $30 is not the final price of Rift Rush by any means; that's entirely too pricy. For the moment, though, Desura is serving as our Early Access vector for our Kickstarter backers; those folks pledged $25. We didn't want to make that reward available for less immediately after the campaign ended.

As the game gets closer to completion, the price'll drop.

I honestly don't get it. This is an Oculus Rift exclusive?

Get a Kickstarter and don't rip off the people in IndieDB. Offer a demo or something. :D

Great that this is being built ground up and tuned for Rift.

Liking the menu system and control scheme I have seen with the early releases. Not been able to try them out on the Rift yet, but they look like they address lots of the issues others have complained with games being played via Vireio Perception and as discussed in the Oculus VR developer forums.

From what I have read so far, jumping and flying in VR sounds like a real buzz so getting the feeling that this will be on the money.

Keep it up! Pioneering is gonna be tough!
