Retrovirus is a Descent-inspired six-axis shooter, with levels designed to force players to think off the ground and out of the box. Its pacing is similar to classic shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, and agile movement is at the core of the experience. Retrovirus also features a unique arsenal of weapons that do more than just dish out damage. By scanning residual weapon effects in the world, you can create gravity wells, knock enemies around or trigger charged blasts on groups of enemies. In Retrovirus, you are the Agent of an anti-virus program fighting against a viral army that has rapidly taken over parts of your system. Called on to respond to the crisis, you must defend the system and remove the virus before it can corrupt and destroy your world. In doing so, you'll explore a surreal software environment that pieces fragments of human reality into the fabric of its own world.

No Descent, but still very good!

the game runs too slow and the Moddingtools are to complicated. Don´t buy a gamw which didn´t work proper. Desura won´t deliver actual needet updates. I have payed for this. Never Desura aagein, Youre Suck ! ! !

This game is quite entertaining if you like Descent clones. The action if fairly well paced. Graphics and sound have a very good quality. It is stable and offers a good playing experience. The only two less good things I can think of is these:

1) Can be a bit hard to find your way in the game some times. But only mildly annoying. It might also be a highly subjective feeling.

2) When using the Desura client as a startingpoint: the game installs it self on the C: drive instead of the regular Desura folder. Might not matter much unless you re-directed the desura folder to another drive to begin with. One way around this is to skip desura and simply download the installer and put it where ever you want. But still it could be corrected easily enough.

Well worth the money. If you like this type of games it is a good purchase.

This is the game Descent players have waited 14 years for. The gameplay is phenomenal, and online the game should prove to be a big hit.

Mouse and joystick are supported, so traditional 6DOF Deathmatch is back on the menu! 32-player Burning Indika 6, anyone?

descent! woohoo!
