This new Beta release of Renabomb Vengeance features automatic scaling of the game graphics so to fit any hardware screen while preserving the pixel aspect ratio.
Here is a new Beta release of Renabomb Vengeance.
This time, I worked on preserving aspect ratio on all kinds of screen by activating the "Letter Box" automated scaling mode of Gideros SDK.
Coding this fix was harder than expected as there is not ready solution to fill gaps or hide unwanted out-of-scene graphical objects when they turn to be visible because of the "letter box" scale adjustment. I choose to put up a bigger frame picture in the foreground all around the logical scene area. Part of this frame may be seen when the actual screen geometry differs from the logical one (as depicted in the screenshot).
I'm concerned with the performance of this workaround. I hope it doesn't affect FPS on low-end devices.
