Hello everyone !

We are a small, independent Slovak game studio and we would like to present to you our first project, on which we have been working on for a few months.

Ravenglen : The Last Case of Osmond Marrable is a WIP detective, steampunk adventure set in Victorian England. The story takes place in the year 1885 in a fictional town of Ravenglen. The once quiet town of Ravenglen is now rapidly expanding thanks to a new wave of industrial revolution. People from the surrounding areas are moving into the town every day, looking for work in the newly established local coal quarry. However, with the sudden increase of the town's population comes an increase of criminality, which the inexperienced police of Ravenglen soon becomes overwhelmed with. After a mutilated body of a woman has been found at the edge of the town one day, police pathologist Dr. Arlo Wrayburn decides to take the matter into his own hands. He asks his friend - a former chef of Ravenglen´s police, Osmond Marrable, who solved the first murder in Ravenglen 30 years ago to come out of his retirement and help the unexperienced local police to catch the murderer before he strikes again. The player controls the above-mentioned Osmond Marrable on his quest to solve the case , during which he will uncover hidden secrets of the town.

Our overall goal is to create an open world adventure, in which the player can freely explore the town of Ravenglen and its surroundings - nearby forest, orchard, mountains and the coal mine. The gameplay will consists of collecting and using various items, interacting with townsfolk and gathering evidence. We also plan to include some action elements (in limited forms, since we don't want to turn the game into an FPS), a working time system with day/night cycle , which will influence the gameplay - some locations/NPCs will only be available at day, others only at night and a dynamic music system.

Our current goals for the next update are : creating a basic inventory, dialogue and interaction systems.
