Pulse Shift is a puzzle-platforming FPS which allows players to control physics and adapting it by themselves. Game allows playing with gravity, physics and manipulating time. Primary goal is finding right way and getting to arrow location as fast as possible and trying to avoid a lot of traps during it. Each of the chapters has own unique design and new special ability to use. It's time to cheat physic.Pulse Shift is game where you perfectly balancing within your brain and skills. I definitely enjoy the simplistic aesthetics.
The entire thing reminds me of CS:S/CS/TF2 custom maps that are platform jumper orientated. Deathrun, Surf, bunnyhop maps come to mind.
If you aren't familiar, you should look into these custom maps. Lots of montage-type videos on youtube, and TF2 is free if you wanna a hands-on try.
I hope that they might be a source of inspiration for exciting game mechanics or designs.
