PULSAR: Lost Colony is a cooperative starship simulator that takes you and your crew (1-5 players) to the farthest corners of the universe on a mission to find the mysterious Lost Colony. It features a procedural galaxy generator so every journey will be unique and contain new challenges for you and your crew.

Version 0.29b of the game is out! Beta Backers now have access to the current Alpha build. We've also released Devlog 27!

Hello everyone!

We’ve been quite busy here at our little studio and we have some interesting news for you all!

To start off, those who pledged at the "Early Backer" or "Backer" levels will now be allowed access to the Alpha. We said the beta would be available in April and it’s not looking likely, however we’d still like to invite all of you to join the alpha and help us test the game!

Our current estimates look like the beta will arrive sometime in early Summer. This is a pretty loose estimate due to the amount that might change from important feedback and what we learn through testing.

We have built a new system for delivering keys to the beta access backers, since the last method we used ended up having some problems we decided to take a different approach as well as invest in more secure services.
This took some time away from the update to the game but we believe it’s important to get keys into the hands of our backers as conveniently as possible. If you are a beta access backer, please use this link to redeem your Steam key: Pulsarthegame.com

Don’t hesitate to let us know if you encounter any difficulties or problems, we’ll be more than happy to help you out any way we can.

V0.29b has been released, it’s mainly focused on sound effects, a new method of gaining interesting statistics on players as well as a few bug fixes here and there.

  • Totally overhauled SFX system and new sounds added!
  • Optional Anonymous Gameplay stat tracking added
  • Rotation speed of ship tweaked
  • Combat tweaks (weapons charge a bit slower, do less damage overall)
  • Ancient Ruins should now spawn correctly

We also reached our next stretch goal! Two additional Secret ships will be added to the game during the development, we are pretty excited to build them! The two ships will be relics from the old wars, retrofitted to use modern technology, they will act and play in a unique fashion based on how the old wars were fought. More on this to come later!
