Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie-infested sandbox. It asks one simple question – how will you die? Whether surviving in Knox County free-roam or controlling Indie Stone mascot Baldspot in his quest to save his injured wife Kate – death is always a certainty. Quite how long you manage to put it off is another matter…

Hello,
i'm french and i've succeed to launch PZ after had the same problem than you.

In French, the solution
Bonsoir,

In english (hum, soory for my english)
Install lastest version of Java 7 (The Oracle runtime which is in www.java.com) choose x64 version for linux. And follow the instructions which you're looking for when you type "ubuntu java" on internet (google.com) or try to translate Doc.ubuntu-fr.org chapter 5.
Good luck
