Some questions on controls, How on earth do you re spawn? and also how do you use items?
To answer your question: You don't respawn if you died without saving, that's it sadly, you restart. Secondly you shuffly with your mouse wheel and right click to use the item. Also I made this tutorial to help you with just that ( Indiedb.com )
