Armed with a sword, a pistol, terrible one-liners and a cannon leg, Captain Steelshin is the grumpy, bearded pirate lord feared far and wide. It is said he was born from the sea itself... if the sea had a child with a bottle of rum.
Happily retired, basking in the treasures of a lifetime, Steelshin receives a royal pardon-- if he completes one more mission: bring Bronzefist to justice. It was only fitting after all: Bronzefist was the mutineer that nearly cost Steelshin his ship.
Join Captain Steelshin, as he battles his way through a treacherous jungle island inhabited by the hordes of robots Bronzefist has created. Steelshin will need to use all his cunning, guile, and prosthetic-artillery to take the fight to his former first mate, and settle the score once and for all. Filled with witty dialogue, a richly detailed environment to explore, and action-packed combat, setting sail into Pirates vs Robots is a thrilling and explosive experience!

While the movement was a bit clunky and the attack commands at times unresponsive, the art is fantastic and the cluster enemy groups are fun to fight. I found that I used the scatter shot most of all and only used the radius blast at the end due to the small space, and I never used the flamethrower at all. Having health bars on the mob factories would make it more obvious that I could destroy them, but the level design was well thought out with larger areas for the fights allowing some manoeuvrability. The treasures were a nice touch but having a counter would have made collecting them more worthwhile, and having a reward like bonus art would be a nice way to encourage players to find them.

All in all, I enjoyed it and look forward to the next stage.
