Ping (working title) is a game of submarine warfare that will attempt to evoke the tension of hunting, spotting, stalking and sinking targets all the while avoiding detection and being sunk in return. It is not set in any particular time or place, but it models submarines used early on in Wold War 2 for reasons of gameplay (limited air, fuel, electricity and frequently faulty equipment). The game will be played from a top-down perspective with the intent of the screen performing multiple duty as aerial view, sonar, and combat map at once.
