looks really nice. But i think you should add a LOT more tiny assets to the game that also get destroyed. It looks very blank else. And your crew should have some sort of face expression. Theres no personality in them when you see them on the start screen. If you have 4 people looking unamused and straight, they are boring.
If you make players name them, you also should give them different expressions and maybe a tiny portrait at every ingame Merc slot. So they have something you can remember. You know the guy you called MR Wonkers, he looks like a retard.
Then its fun if you chose "Merc3" like on your picture on bottom, and then you get the bigger preview of the grenade, and the face appears too.
you use slapstick comments and its a colourful pixel game about fun, so why not make them funny too.
Looks like fun! I like the power-ups and colorful levels. I'm not sure whats going on with the squad mechanic though.
