'Scrolling' map with real-time lighting and shadows.
Above is a video of Phoenix USC's Alien Phoenix framework running a 'scrolling' lighted map scene. :D Complete with one lighted game map scene window and two other interactive game windows that use no lighting. I have the touch screen overlay (buttons) also running with the lighted map scene for testing. This was recorded on my Linux Mint system.
This marks one of the last hurdles in developing the Alien Phoenix gaming framework and the results are promising even for mobile devices. Still a lot to do but seeing a lighted map scene in the frameworks GUI just made my day and I had to share. :)
I'll be working over the next few weeks implementing the rest of the mapping, lighting and shadows framework. So look for the next update then, hopefully with a more detailed map and perhaps some collision.
