Phobia: The fear of the Darkness is a first person survival horror game, where you have to complete a variety of puzzles in a creepy environment in order to find out the story of the house, while avoiding zombie like monsters.
Starts off showing promise, with it being so dark you start creeping yourself out! But, sadly as soon as you turn the generator on, the whole game just falls apart. Dreadful physics and more irritating than scary monsters that just make the game impossible. And also, the game crashed just as I was about to burn the house down! If you could make the game less broken and keep the house in darkness, then the game would be a whole lot better. Oh, and is that stolen Penumbra music? Sorry for the negativity, I really hope that something can be taken from this review, and maybe used to improve a possible sequel? Again, sorry for the negativity, but this game needs serious improvement and is really not worth playing in it's current state.
AI that charges straight at you, knocking aside obstacles and pinning you to walls. Physics that will kill you on accident. Pretty constant crashing. I was somewhat optimistic, but it seems to have been a bad idea. I hear the second is better, I'd suggest that.

There are some minor bugs here and there.
and the music is very strange that it just stoppes in some rooms. FADEin\FADEout?
overall, the first 20 min i was shocked about the atmosphere!
Then i saw the monster and i ... laughed ... after i was scared..
After a while you se the monster get stuck behind things and act crazy!
And some parts are too easy to see what will gonna happen.
Overall idea is amazing!
Mapping is a bit boring imo..
very less details.
monster was not that scary but +++ for the speed it had! that was good, you really felt chased!

This game holds a special place in my heart as an FPSC user. I would rather like to give this game a 8.5 but that isn't possible yet. There is just something about the level design, story, and custom cutscenes that makes this one a blast to revisit. Sure, its a FPSC so the quirks of the engine come with it. However, I know how to appreciate a good single-man made game.
I was REALLY looking forward to Phobia 2! Maybe you and me could get together and make it happen huh? :)
