Sooooo... has anyone found all of the rainbow rabbits yet?
I couldn't figure out how to hold the vines in the second boss fight, though I managed to get thru it after finding a walkthrough on Jayis Games.. I also didn't get the sword shaking. Game could definitely use better instructions.
Still working on my first play through, but I've discovered if you try walking up the left side of the room w/ the librarian w/o the item she wants, when she moves to the left, you end up stuck. Screenshot available if you need it, Banov. Not a huge issue, but having to reload a save, even a 5 minute old one, is never fun.
Ok I beat the game 100% and It definatly better then a 5.2.(Without going into details. around a 7.5 - 8) I do feel like the game is a 10.00 game but that would'nt effect my review of it when i go to rate the game.More people need to try out this game so it can get more honest reviews.I can literally such this game and put boss in the search and my video would be the first to show on the list.
I really want this soundtrack to this.I really hope it wasn't in that link that I didn't write down.(Since I recorded the wrong way and didn't save alot of the secret bosses....
can't tell if the game is rated low because it's bad or because there are too many idoits who just don't like the price point since most of the people that rated it low didn't give an actual review.
Just got the Bundle in a Box!
BTW, are you considering porting Phantasmaburbia to Linux (Ubuntu), since the new export tool? That would make me raise my payment considerably... :)
I would really love to. There are four problems.
1) I'm too broke to buy the new Linux export features.
2) I'd want to export to Mac first, but, I'm too broke to afford a Mac developer license.
3) This game was made on an older version of GameMaker, and the new GameMaker has a lot of problems with it that have made porting a slow and awful process.
4) This game is for a niche audience and doesn't sell very well at all, which makes the long and costly process of porting that much less cost effective for me. This is important because, as mentioned in 1 and 2, I am broke.
All that said, I really would love to make this happen, and I plan to someday. One step at a time.
very well put together trailer lads
Thank you!
You know, it kind of irks me when people give good games such as this one such low scores. I don't personally own the game, but I've seen videos and I know for a fact Banov makes good quality stuff. It's cetainaly way better than the 5.2 it currently has.
it might be combined with the (high) price that people dont find this a good game.
also the price here is now 12 euro against almost 5 dollar in the bundle in a box (plus alot more games)?
so either you believe in your product and dont put it in bundles which basically is selling out your game or you are overcharging it right now on here.
That's a very interesting point of view! I think of the bundle as a "sale," since it's basically a temporary reduction in price. It may bother you that sales exist, but, people buy stuff when it's on sale, and I do unfortunately need to eat almost every day.
well might also depend on the publisher. some do try to stuff it into every bundle thinkable, look at cognition for example.
if it has been in like 4-6 bundles i am sure everyone who had interest in any game in the first place would have bought it already in a bundle.
actually sales dont bother me, the bundles make me just more tempted even to buy the games.
but from what i gathered you can do sales here too without the need of participating in bundles right?
i think you would have got alot better ratings and perhaps more sales if the main price was a bit less.
Word. But it's not good courtesy to put your game on sale when it's in a bundle, because the bundle is shared for everybody, and competing against that is a jerk thing to do. And the only reason I finally put this up on Desura was so I could have codes to give to bundle buyers.
When the bundle is over you'll probably see this price drop. In the meantime though, you should totally get the bundle.
