The Oubliette Engine is designed to be a 'crawl' based 3D game. A-kin to Legends of Grimrock and Dungeon Master. It's main difference is how it is provided. Using the latest in WebGL components combined with websockets to provide a multiplayer / persistence element.

Description

This is a demo of the Oubliette engine so far. Written in WebGl It's only just been started; though I have a rudimentary lighting manager and movement controls

Near future versions should have doors, level transitions and a load of other neat things.

When I'm comfortable with the stability of the engine I will make the playable version available.

The game plan is to create an open world. This will be done using procedurally generated environments (cities, dungeons, forests etc..).

This will be tied into a web-socket driven multiplayer engine; with resource gathering, economics and combat etc..

I'm heavily influenced by games such as Dungeon master and the Realms Of Arkania series; though I also have taken much enjoyment in later products such as Skyrim, Fallout, Elite Eangerous etc...

I hope to keep the engine as expandable as possible to cover over genres not limited to the 'fantasy' worlds, but branch to Sci-Fi and others.
