Hello everyone! In this article, I'm showcasing the new map generation system, I created for the game as the previous felt mundane. Also I've implemented dynamic equipping of the player depending the weapon/equipment.

Here are a few examples of the map generation

A 30 block dungeon


A 100 block dungeon


A 300 block dungeon


Aside from that I've worked on the top down animation blending system. The character's animation changes gradually depending on where he looks. (The character always looks at the mouse cursor)

And last but not least, Dynamic Equipping! Depending on the weapon type (in this case we have the sword as the main weapon) the character equips it in his right hand!



On the other hand (no pun intended), when the sword is set as an equipment, the character equips it in his left hand.

At the moment I don't know if I will implement dual wielding combat in the game... Currently, you can only fight with the main weapon and hand something like a Tome or Crossbow in the offhand which you can use.
