As i can see, some people doesn't like our "automatic camera" feature.
So, i'm making this poll to see how many people wants to see this feature disabled by default.

P.S. If you have an idea how to make the automatic camera better, tell us, and we'll try to do something.

I like it. Its one of the smart things that make the game unique.

In fact, its my favorite game now, before i used KMahjongg which I find quite annoying now. No music, no movements, a bit boring.

When I played OGS Mahjong at my girlfriends home she came in and yelled "Oh...what's that...its moving!" :D

Leave it enabled :)

I think it's awful. The first thing I did was try to figure out how to disable it. Frankly, I don't personally care what the default behavior is, as it can be changed, but I personally can't fathom how anybody could tolerate it.

My vote, however, went towards "disable it by default". First impressions are everything, I could have easily quit playing there and then had I not thought there might be a way to disable it. Some people just want a relaxing game of Mahjong Solitaire. You can add in lens flares, particle effects, motion blur, swiveling cameras, slow motion, wobble, fog, epilepsy-inducing strobe lights, or whatever other gaudy, nauseating, distracting "eye-candy" gimmicks I tend to immediately disable within seconds of being annoyed by them, as long as I don't have to see it I couldn't care less, but the default behavior? KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid).

I find it very distracting that the "automatic camera" watches the mouse when you are not within the game window. If you have to leave the game for a moment, it's odd to see the board still swiveling around in response to mouse movement outside its window.

We decided to keep the dynamic camera enabled by default. You can disable it from the settings menu. Also, the game now asks the user whether he likes or dislikes the dynamic camera after a couple of minutes and turns it off if the user doesn't want to use it anymore.

I think you can make the dynamic camera better by having a View starting options. Default view (what it is now), top view (starting the view at the top), or bottom view (starting the view at the bottom). As of now, with the current view option, when I center my mouse, it is incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to see the tiles at the top because they are blocked from the stacked tiles at the middle. Even if I move my mouse up to try to get a better view, it is still pretty much impossible to see the ones that are hidden.

The only way I have fixed this problem is to hold right-click and re-center the view to the point where I can see all tiles from top to bottom when I center my mouse. This is a small, but annoying hassle at times because I have to keep re-centering it everytime I start a new game.

As well as a center view, a view that starts off being able to see all possible tiles when your mouse is centered.

Hi!

We have released OGS Mahjong 1.0.1. Now you can set the default camera position you like, by editing the game.cfg file.
