It's been a while, huh? I'm back working on the game full time again, here's the news!

Hey indie game enthusiasts!

It's been a while, huh? I'm still alive and kicking and actually working on the game full time again. It took a bit to get all settled in my new home and my daily tasks now include things like chopping firewood and shoveling snow. It's a small apartment in little house located in a peaceful and green neighbourhood on the outskirts of the town, so I've actually found it quite charming and
therapeutic even, compared to the stressful month that was February. The house has a sizable private yard and I even saw a squirrel hanging around behind my window the other day. Which is neat, since squirrels have always been my favourite animals.

Meanwhile Indie Game Magazine and Indie Statik featured Office Management 101 in their weekly articles covering new and upcoming indie games. There's some other great looking games there too, so go check those out.

As for the game development itself, there are some updates too. For one, I've added pause and speed up buttons to the left upper corner. Then there's a new popup menu for editing offices and furniture. I also redid the whole starter house/map replacing and adding many of the outside tiles. At first I was just going to edit the grass tile, but you know how these thing sometimes escalate and a few days later there was a whole new building :)

Currently I'm in the middle of implementing saving and loading and I'm hoping to wrap that up in a few days. After that I'm planning to get back to some of the core gameplay features, that I put on hold a while ago. That means we're getting closer to first closed alpha releases and testing! Very excited for that.

I'll pick up the gameplay features series in the near future as well, maybe in the features section of this page instead of news though, since I realised it's a more fitting place for such articles. As always, you can check for quick updates on our twitter account @tulevikEU. Any comments, suggestions, questions or criticism is highly welcome, so you can either contact me here, on twitter or even send an email to riho@tulevik.eu.

That's all for now, I'll best get back to work...

Sincerely,
Riho Peterson
