Nine deities. Nine heroes. And only one champion. Mythical Greece. The land of gods, poets, heroes, but also of terrible monsters and creatures. Numen is an action RPG set in mythical Greece. The player controls one of nine heroes, who in the name of the gods they follow compete in a grand test of their capabilities. Heroes who undertake a pilgrimage over the highest mountains, through valleys and deep forests, underground vaults and the scorched sand of deserts. Numen however is no mere hack-and-slash game. It offers the player the possibility of tactical decision making, searching for enemies’ weak spots, selection of adequate weapons. It rewards those who are able to adapt to the changing situation on the battlefield. In this the player is helped by the unique powers and abilities invested in him or her by the god he or she follows, provided that the god is happy with him or her. The Olympian gods, after all, are renowned for their wanton and unpredictable nature…

Post news Report RSS Because We May Sale

Because We May is a sale collective of developers from different websites, devices and genres that have set low prices for the last week of May. Why? Because they can.

Developer Independence is a fantastic thing. Being able to control the prices for your games needs to be celebrated. We here at DesuraNET believe that as a developer you should have the freedom to do as you please, and it seems we are not the only ones who share such ideals.

There are a few games which are on sale on Steam as part of BWM, but not on sale here for some reason. For example, Dungeons of Dredmor and Q.U.B.E.

On the site you had to select the specific section where your game is available. It wasn't really obvious at first that you could submit multiple times for different sections but hopefully developers will email in updates.

Didn't know about the last two in that list, thanks - they aren't on the BWM site.

Though the list is missing: Metagolf Indiedb.com and Silverquest Indiedb.com

Any developers that add their Desura games to Because We May (or even those already in it) are perfectly welcome to also come shout out about their game in our group's forums: Indiedb.com

I've been linking to that thread from elsewhere (it's had nearly 3,000 views if our group's stats are anything to go by), to get the word out about the Desura games participating in the event, as unfortunately Desura's (& other stores') participation wasn't initially well advertised by BWM.

So if you followed @Desura's tweet to this article, please retweet it & spread the good word... :)

There's three more:
Ballin Indiedb.com
Dreamscape Indiedb.com
LEVEL UP! Indiedb.com

Smiles HD was added to BWM's site, but Numen isn't appearing in the 'Others' section, but is listed under 'Steam'.
