Modders don't post news about Playstation 3 often. is very special news that Nexuiz (the community open source deathmach game) will spawn a game in the PS3 platform.
The screenshots for the game are glorious. There are some community rage about this, but in the end, we will have two awesome games, GPL Nexuiz (PC) and Nexuiz (PS3).
I ask the audience, Is this a first in modding? has other mods spawned a commercial game in the PS3 platform?

To be honest, I think the better idea would be a name change. It hurts, but is better than this "GPL Nexuiz" (I don't like the name).
The screenshots of Illfonic's Nexuiz look nice -- much more refined than PC Nexuiz, imo -- but I still can't wrap my head around porting a deathmatch-style FPS to the consoles. Playing Nexuiz with a controller would be like playing piano with your feet.
