Before watching the video, I seriously thought the screenshot at the end of the article was a real photo being edited or something like that...

Mount&Blade; won't be the same in the good way, this is simply amazing.

Cheers!

It looks great and I'm super excited for Bannerlord, as I have been since its announcement. However, my biggest fear still remains performance.

What made the first M&B so special (and why Warband is by far my favourite RPG) was how it took the elements and setting of a traditional RPG to a more realistic scale. Without large battles featured in M&B, it simply wouldn't be the same and my largest complaint about Warband was the battle limit and how battles with larger then said limit worked. While this video does make the claim that the Bannerlord engine is able to support "larger and more complex battles" my fear is that the game will require a powerful gaming-rig to optimally play (I don't mind playing on the lowest graphical settings to give people with better computers the option to play with better graphics, but if the game lags on larger battles it simply won’t be as fun.)

You cant expect more complexity without the sacrifice of having to have a better system to run it. You cant get one without the other, its like asking doom 3 to run on a 486 cos doom did.
Im sure they will offer decent scaling for older hardware but don't expect miracle from TW or your CPU / GPU. Perhaps this game will be a reason to get a little upgrade :)

Battle royale with a fast crafting & hunting? Or something more like DayZ without the Z in a medieval theme? With maybe even some hut or castle building? Anyone?

Man, with its unique combat mechanics it could definitely become a perfect variation of what other titles like Life is Feudal or Gloria Victis are trying to become. I can see the hunger games done right, maybe even MMO like medieval simulation with factions and stuff. There were a mods which allowed for castle bulding or crafting, it's definitely doable.
