We've got some good news!
We like to do updates. And we do hope you like to read them as well. That being said, we're going to open up for suggestions and questions that YOU, our fan wants to read about regarding InMomentum! From now on, the articles are going to become very frequent. Why? Well, because THE MULTIPLAYER BETA IS HERE!
What? Where? Beta?!
Beta indeed. We are going to open up beta signups in the next 2-3 days. Keep an eye out for an article here on IndieDB, our site, facebook or the digital arrow twitter to catch the news on where and how to sign up. What will it be about? Well, in general about having fun. As you know, InMomentum will feature multiplayer as well - and this is mainly what we'll need You for. To make sure it's flawless and enjoyable in it's entirety.
And now for those screenshots and the character
InMomentum is featuring multiplayer. Players need to look somehow in multiplayer right? And players in multiplayer deserve the rights to customize their looks to their liking too, right?
We present to you our character customization system: Inertia.
In InMomentum, we allow players to customize their looks to their liking in a variety of ways. Above, you can see a couple of examples of multiplayer character customization. The player will be able to choose base color, stripes, glows, helmets and trail colors, and also set the glow strength or the reflectiveness of their suit! Multiple hundred thousand combinations are possible! Jump your color.
It's an approach we've decided upon after going through a bunch of concepts we had in mind. The main aim is, to provide the player with enough customization to build a unique look for himself when racing others. Using the 7 parameters with sliders for each, there are virtually endless combinations that one can make. The above example is just a simple way to show how this can happen. And they can glow in the dark too! Who wouldn't like a character that glows in the dark?
