not fond of the reddish wood myself, or the new sandstone Egyptian symbol design, but is still ok. I like the new woods!

yeah, I suppose. the only annoyance is no coloured wooden half-blocks/steps.

Nice!

So I guess you get the different kind of woodden planks depending on what sort of tree it came from? (Birch, oak or pine/redwood

have to agree. these updates, while cool, don't have any taste to them.

I remember the good ol' days, when they released an ENTIRE REDSTONE SYSTEM, in just ONE update. redstone ore, dust, levers, iron doors, buttons, pressure plates, the entire basic redstone system, more or less.

now, it'd take 9 updates for a feature of the same magnitude. it's sad really.

Even now, The Nether is still feeling incomplete. and The End is still not done. it's been in-game from 1.9 pre releases, reset to 1, to 1.2.4. that's 4 versions. and what? you get text, experience which can easily be lost if killed, and an egg that does nothing.

is just a huge shame they've put off ambitious projects, and when they do them, they leave them unfinished. even now we're still awaiting a book system. just, sad.

one thing, u know their preparing to add real mod support, so if u know that some mods already add so much stuff like decorative blocks once the mod support comes in (for real this time, not the one we got right now) then we wont even notice these small decoration blocks. For example, Buildcraft has 1/8 blocks from existing blocks, it ALLOWS you to make a rug A REAL RUG, you can do anything like furniture from those blocks...

Description

The new sandstone/wood blocks, with sandstone to show the top row are decorative sandstone (they do sorta look odd without a comparison) --Kizzycocoa
