they're talking about monkeys.
What would that actually add to gameplay? I'd rather them start having skeltons/zombies with random bits of armor to make the actual game more interesting.
What do you mean what will that add, it would add monkeys, an entire new mob to slaughter, rather then stronger versions of the already fairly frustrating, which adds nothing but difficulty also finally a source of cocoa.
It would add a unit with a very complex behavior set which would add little to the actual combat of the game. Monkeys would not have a reason to spawn coco beans.. maybe a coco plant of some sort would be neat though.
Nah man, I don't think monkey would be all that interesting. as you said it would be just another thing to slaughter.

Good, monkeys would be a stupid addition.
That's what some people say about everything past v 1.8 of the beta, but they still play it religiously. Besides, it's their game, it's not like that's going to diminish it.
I am allowed to think it would be a dumb addition. That's like my opinion man.
I totally agree with you, whats the point of adding monkeys? Now a tiger, or something else that's dangerous, something to give me a reason to stay clear of the dark scary jungle. :)

Terraria came right after Minecraft, but i doubt they are copying eachother. I rather think these two games might corss eachother in the future, but for now i see no effort to say "Clone" after Notch left the developement. We can expect an first day time monster, or shall i say mob!
The Jungle quite reminds me of swamp biome back in 1.8.
