The very first game that I have ever created! "Mental" is a small and simple horror indie game that I came up with on the top of my head, using FPS Creator. I wanted to create something quick and simple in this program, as an experiment in game making. I may add on to this game slowly as time goes by. Additions such as other levels, more detailed story, a better ending, etc. First impressions seem to be good, so I feel encouraged to continue working on this!

I chose to rate this 8 because of 5 things I focus on when reviewing, it's Quality, Scares, Story, Lag and Length! (Atmosphere and stuff like that is included in the Quality!)
Quality: Atmosphere was ok not really the scariest with blood all over and dead bodies and skeletons and tons of keys to find and doors to open xD (But it was ok, it was obviously based to scare the s*it out of you which it succeeded with very well xD) Scares: Well, you can figure yourself when I say I dont wanna ever open that game again, the scares were bland jumpscares but 2 of them got me really good, the reason why I dont want to even touch that game again, because it scared me so much ;) Story: Not really getting much story in it, just a bland "got to escape the building and find my wife and children!" the ending was also kind of stupid, it didn't even scare me more than one of the doors scared me s*itless xD Lag: One area there was alot of lag at, only when viewing to that area, real bad FPS dropper but it could be a bug, you might wanna fix that, other than that there's no lag at all :D Length: Ok length for a short jumpscare indie horror game, so it deserves an 8 all in all!
Quality: 8 - Scares: 8 - Story: 6 - Lag: 9 - Length: 8 - All in all, it's a great game to scare the s*it out of you if you get easily scared by things jumping out into your face xD
Pretty amazing job for a first project, it feels many things are limited by the FPS creator but the atmosphere is really good and half of the scares are superb - the timing was just right. The sounds are picked pretty well but could be played a bit more random - especially when you enter the first rooms, they feel incredibly triggered. Also to give them a place inside the world so its not only one the left side would help a lot I believe.

BTW: Windows 8 likes to crash the game while loading so you will have to run it in compability mode. That should do the trick.
