I went into regedit and exported HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Reptile as a .reg file onto a flashdrive. Then opened it up on my new pc, all the values carried over but I open up Megabyte Punch but none of my old save stuff comes up; no parts, save location, anything. did I copy from the wrong place or are the registry values different when running on a 64-bit Win 7 from a 32-bit Win 7?

Bump, I would like to know if you can transfer save-files as I've had the same issues as Albert_Scoot.

I think you have to import the .reg file before you install the game.

Not sure though...

That did not work, and I've now lost my items once again... Oh well -

:( Sorry man..

Have you considered writing JSON or some other serialized data to an application data directory instead of using PlayerPrefs? It would make it easier to add Steam Cloud support as well.

Did the solution to this problem ever get figured out?

It seems I have the same problem as well, when I try to transfer my .reg file to another computer it does not work. Although when I try, the reg file says it was successful, in the game itself the resolution seems to have been carried over, but my save data was not.
(What I mean by this is that the computer I intend to transfer my save data to has a resolution of 1360x768, and when I used the registry file, the game resolution was at 1680x1050. This would mean that the reg file worked to some extent but any of my parts I gained was not transferred at all.)

I even tried to import the .reg file BEFORE I installed the game, like listed above, and the game still did not register any save data. To be honest, having the save data in the registry instead of in a seperate user file is kind of a bad idea, because of the inability to easily back-up save data and transfer it to any other computer. All I wanted to do was transfer save data to a computer that is hooked up to a T.V. so I could then play with a couple friends using some megac builds I am using, any help with this issue would be much appreciated...

*EDIT* I figured out that not only did just the resolution transfer over, but my colors and campaign progress did indeed transfer, the only things that did not were the parts I collected, and something else closed beta related...

I can confirm in the final version nothing changes. So it's still troubling how we can export our save to another computer.

I'm afraid we have to wait for Steam to play your game everywhere.

at Desura's file in Common

In the Steam version there is a file called "save" in the game root folder, you can simply copy paste this file on different pc or even make multiple save files if you want. Also with the Steam cloud feature you will have your progress on every computer with your Steam account.
