This weekend our whole team took the time to work on some new preview stuff of our MEDiAN - The Colony project to show up some current (and early development) stage previews. This weekend our whole team took the time to work on some new preview stuff of our MEDiAN - The Colony project to show up some current (and early development) stage previews.

But we also took some nice new features into programming and designing new gameplay stuff, here are the new features which will be integrated into our game:

Science outpost

We've added some small so called science outposts to places on our home-planet MEDiAN 01.100; these outposts can be used to connect to your colony to stay updated about mission work etc but also these outposts can be used to rest and make some additional science and research to gain more XP, there are also limited resources such as batteries and technical equipment to provide some very basic support.

Inventory & crafting system

There's also a new and improved inventory and crafting system integrated into the game, you'll be able to store materials and resources to your inventory (depends on used equipment such as backpacks etc) and put some technical stuff like drills, tools to your new inventory system.
With our crafting system there's now also the nice feature of using materials to improve and craft new tools but also structural components used within the colony.
This feature currently is in experimental mode and we will post some new updates about this cool feature soon.
