McDROID is a surreal Action Tower Defense with - mega frikkin' lasers that talk - upgradable robots - Gattling turret - crop and monsters that mutate - an economy based on giant strawberries. - levels hand crafted like they used be. - Cute cartoony Borderland graphics, but it's hella tough so you may have to co-op with your friends to take down that insane Mutatosaurus. Imagine the hectic big boss fights of RTYPE combined with the smarts and resource management of Dune 2. That's McDROID, our first game, made in homage of these awesome classics. It's original, with gorgeous cell shaded graphics, boasts 100 enemies on screen at once, the most badass weapons (linking teslas, wave canons, bot factories...) and unusually challenging enemies. It's a tough game, not for the faint of heart and it's got co-op multiplayer.
So here are a summary of the day, in picture:
Hangout High Five

Doing a steam gift because it feels good.

With over 9000 new functions (more or less 8990) this is our strongest release yet!
We are doing iiiit one more time, a booth, very different approach this time with contests and a really fun group.
Press coverage on McDROID has been abysmal so I need your help make some noise. If you want to see this super fun, hardcore action-strategy on the market...
The new GUI is almost finished, with its mechanical look that matches the rest of the game, it's fully animated madness and super polished FX.

Are you going to implement native touch controls in the desktop Windows version? I kind of don't want to buy the full game again on Windows Store just to have a touchscreen functionality.
No touch control for windows, touch on windows store was wonky so we took it out, maybe one day if we port it to iOS we'll adapt the other builds with it.
Dude, this game is pure sick. Wow wow wow. It's already freaking me out... at frickin' level 6! O.o
Hahahaha! Best comment ever! The real madness happens in Arena Survival levels, around wave 20
Steam provides free Steam keys for early buyers through their greenlight program. So he could provide the keys free of charge for early buyers, but chooses not to, for Indie Royale bundle purchases, even though they were promised one before.
So basically he is only supporting some customers and not the others. Bad public relations in my opinion, and will ruin the reputation of the company by not standing by the promises made before.
I usually stay away from companies that don't stick with their promises, this means that they don't care about good service and their customers. It is actually hard to keep customers if you don't plan on keeping them happy.
I may as well wait until McDroid hits the $1 sales before I get it on steam, since I can just play the full game on Desura anyways. It defeats the logic that customers already have the full product and can play it, and not provide a key to play the full game, just on a different platform.

"Will Steam keys be provided if they do make it onto Steam via Greenlight?"

For IGS Only.
Indie Royal was a revenue split amongst 5 games, that's be 0.20$ = hell no
Actually, he came back on this decision and decided to provide steam keys.
Is this still being updated? The last news post was about getting greenlit and it was almost 2 months ago.
