MAV has officially hit alpha status with the latest update. There has been a ton of new features and improvements that have gone into the game so I made a quick video showing off most of them.
Big new features:
Siege Game Mode
This game mode pits two teams against each other, battling to destroy the other team's base as quickly as possible. Each team has access to a bank of defensive structures that can be purchased, and you are given the option to upgrade your MAV when you re-spawn or when the round ends. You can earn more money by inflicting damage on the opposing team.
Placeable Buildings
There are now three place-able structures that you can purchase to aid you in battle. You can buy a simple wall, which will take considerable damage before falling, to help cover your actions or prevent enemies from using a certain path. You can also buy a turret, armed with 4 howitzers, that will defend the area around it. Finally, you can buy a new repair station to help setup an offensive line or replace a destroyed repair station.
Humanoid Legs
There is a new leg type, the humanoid legs. Fast and light weight, these make an excellent basis for a hit and run attacker. With the low armor amount you need to watch out for the heavier MAV's and avoid going toe to toe against them.
There have been numerous bug fixes as well, too many to list.
This update also marks the beginning of Alpha Funding for M.A.V. so to be able to play you need to register a username and purchase an alpha membership for $10. This will entitle you to all future releases of the game as well.

Thank you for your support and I hope you will continue to support M.A.V. in the future!
Yay! this is great news, I'm so glad to see that mech games are getting more popular on PC now, mech games belong on PC.
Also, great progress, I can't wait to play that siege game mode, I'm kinda tired of getting owned in normal singleplayer >_<

Your meshes looks pretty decent and the modular system looks really nice, but the terrain needs a lot of work :P
Yep, the terrain has not got much love yet, but it's on the list!
