I finally got around to properly setting up the page for Relativity, and am excited to start sharing development updates with you all here.
First, for those of you who aren't familiar, here's a bit on what Relativity is about:
Relativity is an exploration-puzzle game that imagines a universe with a different set of physical laws.
Set in an Escher-esque world filled with secrets and mysteries, you utilize a unique gravity-manipulation mechanic to turn walls into floors. Learn to see the world through whole new perspectives as you navigate mindboggling architecture and solve seemingly impossible puzzles.
I started working on Relativity in November 2012. Initially, it was supposed to just be a small exercise to become familiar with Unity3D. I wrote the first prototype over Thanksgiving weekend, then showed it to my roommate at the time and a few other friends. The feedback was pretty encouraging, so I decided to continue to work on it.
As of this writing, I've been working on the game for about 14 months now. It has already gone through about 8 major revisions, and is quite different (but much better) than the initial prototype.
I had an alpha build a few months ago, but have made some major changes and I'm currently adding a lot of new content, and getting ready for a (pre)beta build.
I'm hoping to start doing playtesting sessions sometime around next month to see how the new content holds up.
