Lonely Star is a 2D action-RPG developed by Matt Judge for the PC and Macintosh. Players join a band of misfits and spiritual seekers in Arizona on a quest to prepare for the end of the world in the fateful year 2012 AD. Lonely Star features open-ended action combining wilderness survival, exploration, stealth, combat, and corn farming. and takes place in a weird but familiar America where ghosts of a violent past intrude suddenly into the present, and the dreams and nightmares of lonely frontier dwellers bloom to life in the vastness of the desert.
